Even though Scrubs Season 2 hasn’t yet been greenlit at ABC, the resounding success of the show’s revival makes more episodes look like an inevitability at this point. So, showrunner Aseem Batra will need to start considering what will happen to the beloved sitcom’s new characters. Specifically, the five new interns at Sacred Heart need to have their immediate futures explored as Scrubs continues. While looking to the classic series could provide some clues about what’s to come for the younger doctors, the revival could easily opt to head in another direction. The new crop of interns in Scrubs started with very limited roles, but were gradually given more and more to do as the revival continued.
