The Avatar: The Last Airbender franchise has expanded since impacting pop culture with the original animated series in the 2000s, and it’s set to do so again in 2026. The animated feature The Legend of Aang: The Last Airbender will pick up the stories of the beloved characters from the show in the years following Aang’s defeat of Fire Lord Ozai, following the main cast in adulthood as they deal with a new threat to their world. While the central story obviously centers around the now-experienced Avatar Aang, the new feature will undoubtedly provide an update on Katara, Sokka, Toph, and Fire Lord Zuko as well.
