The Action Begin In Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is scheduled to be released in the United States and the United Kingdom on March 25, 2016, in 3D. In January 2014, Warner Bros. announced that the film was delayed from its original July 17, 2015 release date, and moved to May 6, 2016, in order to give the filmmakers “time to realize fully their vision, given the complex visual nature of the story.”

The release date was moved once again in August 2014 from May 6, 2016, to March 25, 2016, with a Warner Bros. insider saying the studio was “not flinching” regarding the film previously opening on the same day as Marvel Studios’ Captain America: Civil War, but that March 2016 was a “fantastic corridor” for them. At the 2015 Licensing International Expo, Warner Bros. Consumer Products announced that they will partner with Mattel, Lego, Rubies, Thinkway Toys, Junkfood, Bioworld, and Converse (shoe company), to sell merchandise related to the film.

Warner Bros. released an official plot synopsis for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and watching the footage we’ve seen so far, one can at least kind of pick up on what this movie is putting down. It seems that the world of the growing DC Cinematic Universe has labeled Superman (Henry Cavill) a controversial figure after the events seen in Man of Steel, and while there are many in the world who see him as a superhero, there are many others who view him as an extreme threat. Bruce Wayne a.k.a. Batman (Ben Affleck) falls into the latter category, having been at ground zero during Supes’ big climactic battle with General Zod and lost people during the catastrophe. As a result, he uses his incredible resources to do what he can to try and stop the perceived alien menace.
