Three years after Universal hit big with the animated The Super Mario Bros. Movie, the titular plumber duo is back for another round of action in The Super Mario Galaxy Movie. Bringing back the core cast of video game icons that made the original film the second-highest-grossing movie of 2023 (only trailing Barbie), this film will add even more star power with roles for Brie Larson (Rosalina), Benny Safdie (Bowser Jr.), Donald Glover (Yoshi), and even Glen Powell as a surprising crossover hero, Fox McCloud. Combine that with a journey far beyond the Mushroom Kingdom, and the stage seems to be set for a sequel that could far outdo its predecessor.
