Sheila Susan White born on 18 October 1948 and died on 7 September 2018 was a British film, television, and stage actress. After graduating she joined the cast on tour in a thriller, played small parts on television, and had walk-on roles in some films then at 17 a small part in the touring production of ‘On the Level’ which was enlarged to include a solo number for which she got good reviews but the show didn’t and it closed after a short run at the Saville Theatre in London. These are my best 5 movies for Sheila White.
5. Confessions of a Driving Instructor (1976) – Sex Comedy
Timothy Lea and his brother-in-law Sidney decide to open a driving school as their latest get-rich-quick scheme. Though he sincerely wants to teach, young Timmy finds that his female students are far more interested in keeping their eyes on him than on the road.
4. The Ghost Goes Gear (1966) – Musical
Unbeknownst to the Spencer Davis Group, their manager is upper class, grew up in a haunted manor, and is called Algernon. When they visit his home, they find out that the family is broke, they don’t have the money to pay the servants, and their home is going to ruin. Spencer suggests that they advertise the home (and the ghost) and charge admission.
3. Here We Go Round the Mulberry Bush (1968) – Sex Comedy
Frustrated that he still hasn’t lost his virginity, teenage grocery store delivery boy Jamie McGregor (Barry Evans) appeals to Spike (Christopher Timothy), an older ladies’ man, for advice. After failing to seal the deal with several local girls because of his working-class mannerisms and a paralyzing case of teenage self-doubt, Jamie struggles to get the attention of Mary Gloucester (Judy Geeson), a beautiful classmate who doesn’t seem to know he even exists.
2. Papa the Little Boats (1971) – Crime/Comedy
Marc and his gang have a brilliant idea (or so they think!): they will kidnap Vénus de Palma, a (very) rich heiress. Well, Venus, also known as Cookie, is duly abducted but holding the lovely twenty-year-old beauty is a horse of another color. A cookie is indeed both seductive and intelligent and manages to seduce one member of the gang after the other, pitting the ones against the others… The brilliant idea soon proves a nightmare!
1. Confessions of a Window Cleaner (1974) – Sex Comedy
Young Timmy starts as a window cleaner in the little company of his brother. Soon he learns that some female customers expect additional service. Young and curious as he is, he reluctantly accepts the juicy duty. However, his heart belongs to Liz, who demands the highest commitment until she lets him go all the way.
