“I won’t kill a man who hasn’t harmed me.” Well Go USA has debuted a new official trailer for a sci-fi action thriller titled Warriors of the Wasteland, which is actually just a new US title for this release. Warriors of the Wasteland is a Serbian production made by a Serbian filmmaker named Nemanja Ćeranić and it was originally released there in 2024 under the title Son’s Will. The entire film is shot in English starring Igor Bencina as the badass anti-hero Jovan wielding a samurai sword slicing up anyone who gets in his way. It’s being sent to VOD in the US and is out this week to watch anytime. After the “Last War”, the truth lies in the eye of an ancient sword. Solitary drifter Jovan traverses the dangerous wastelands, searching for his sister and the man who kidnapped her. The city waits. A dark post-apocalyptic tale set in the west Balkans, after a nuclear war. Starring Igor Benčina, Isidora Simijonović, Sergej Trifunović, Marta Bjelica, Jovo Maksić. There’s a new trend of these apocalyptic wasteland action thrillers from Eastern Europe, I believe reflecting many feelings about the current state of the world and how to fight back.
