'Rad' Is Being Shown in Theaters After Being Unavailable On Streaming

Some cult favorites never make it to your Netflix watchlist, and in the case of RAD, that’s become part of the movie’s lore. The 1986 BMX movie directed by Hal Needham has spent four decades living in obscurity. It was a box office dud that became a generational hit thanks to VHS rentals, late-night cable reruns, and word of mouth passed from older siblings to younger siblings. Now, RAD is heading back to the big screen for its 40th anniversary.
