“Go home… while you still look like your passport picture.” Neon has unveiled one more final official trailer for the Irish witch horror film titled Hokum, opening in early May in theaters nationwide – launching the summer movie season. The first teaser appeared in December, the main trailer dropped back in March. A scarily anticipated follow-up from Irish director Damian McCarthy after his unsettling wooden man horror Oddity from 2024. An author travels to a remote part of Ireland to spread the ashes of his now deceased parents, unaware that his rented accommodation – an Irish inn – could be haunted by a vengeful witch. American actor Adam Scott (who is 1/4 Irish) stars as horror writer Ohm Bauman; with David Wilmot, Austin Amelio, Florence Ordesh, Peter Coonan, Michael Patric, and Will O’Connell.
