It’s surprising to think that in Nicolas Cage‘s extensive career as an actor, he had never once starred in a television series. This week, that finally changed with the release of Spider-Noir on Prime Video and MGM+. The new eight-episode series features Cage as the Spider, a noir version of Spider-Man who moonlights as a private eye. Seeing Cage channel his inner Humphrey Bogart for the series is extremely entertaining, as is evident from the positive reviews that the show has been getting. As it turns out, while this may be Cage’s first television role, it might not be his last, as he was once announced for another high-profile series: True Detective.
