Must Watch Trailer for Doc 'Time and Water' About Iceland's Glaciers

Time and Water Doc Trailer

“To hold ice is to hold the earth’s memories in your hand.” National Geographic has unveiled the official trailer for the documentary film titled Time and Water, the third feature from acclaimed doc filmmaker Sara Dosa and her follow-up to the Oscar nominated Fire of Love film about volcanoes a few years ago. This premiered at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival and has been playing at other fests before opening in theaters this May. Facing the death of his country’s glaciers and the loss of his beloved grandparents, Icelandic writer Andri Snær Magnason turns his archives into a time capsule to hold what is slipping away — family, memory, time, and water. Using his own collected archives, his grandparents’ photographs and films as well as traditional songs and folktales, Andri interlaces his family’s story with that of the land around him. It’s “a universal reflection on the power of home and what it means to be alive amid profound epochal change.” A beautifully meditative and moving film about how we need to take better care of this planet. Worth a watch. // Continue Reading ›
