Monica Guerritore born in Rome on January 5, 1958. She is an Italian theater, film, and television actress. Active mainly in the theater since she made her debut in Milan at the age of 16 under the direction of Giorgio Strehler, she formed an artistic and sentimental partnership for about twenty years with the director Gabriele Lavia with whom she represented, on stage and on film.
Alongside her theatrical career, she also continued her television and film career: in 1976 she was alongside Marcello Mastroianni in the film Signore e Signori, Buona Notte, in 1977 she was the protagonist of the first Rai color drama, Manon Lescaut.
