Matt Damon’s criminally underrated sci-fi movie, which built a strong cult-fandom in recent years, is about to be removed from Netflix. Released in 2013, the film was directed by District 9‘s Neill Blomkamp. Anyone who knows Blomkamp’s work knows the South African filmmaker has a talent for bringing insane-looking sci-fi concepts to life with breathtaking CGI and visual effects. Add to that a bald Matt Damon, a powerful exoskeleton, and some sci-fi-infused shootouts, and you have Elysium. However, the cyberpunk movie is facing its own dystopian future on streaming.
