Jan 2015: The Loft
Five married men share possession of an upmarket loft, that they use to discreetly meet their various mistresses. once the body of a murdered girl is found in this loft, the men begin to suspect one another of getting committed the ugly crime, as they’re the only ones with keys to the premises. Through flashbacks, that are tangled with scenes from the present, the whole story is unraveled.
The Loft is a 2014 American-Belgian thriller film directed by Erik Van Looy. it’s a remake of the 2008 Dutch-language Belgian film Loft by the same director. The script was written by bart de Pauw ( and tailored by Wesley Strick. the only remaining cast member from the first film is Matthias Schoenaerts, who can reprise the same role. the first film broke all box-office records in belgium.

The film was shot in Summer 2011. Recently, the theatrical release of The Loft has been delayed by a change of the film distributor. rather than Warner Bros. and Universal pictures, Open Road Films can release the film. Universal planned to release the film on August 29, 2014, however the studio has since force it from the schedule, and it’ll be released at another date with Open Road taking on the distributor.
In my opinion it is a great movie. Heard about the original and really enjoyed it ! The script is very good and I believe there are little of these movies made. I really like thrillers like Seven, the bone collector, etc. and this one has a spot between them. I have not seen the original one so I can’t really compare but as I read the original one has the same script but this American remake is much more loaded. I was really moved by the atmosphere in the movie, starting at a party where you see the main actors discussing there naughty hidden life and sharing a key of a beautiful loft. There is some recognizable thing for most men there I guess and I think many people can imagine that if you could take part of it, it would bring much fun and excitement.
