I like her: Emmanuelle Chriqui

Emmanuelle Sophie Anne Chriqui (born December 10, 1977) is a Canadian film and television actress. She is perhaps best known for her role on HBO’s Entourage as Sloan McQuewick, as well as Dalia, the love interest of Adam Sandler’s character in You Don’t Mess with the Zohan. She is also known for her role as Red John’s accomplice, Lorelei Martins on The Mentalist. In May 2010, she topped the AskMen.com Most Desirable Women of 2010 list.

Even before she was chosen by AskMen and our readers to rule the Top 99 Women of 2010 list, we’ve had our eye on the lovely Emmanuelle Chriqui for some time, as have many other admirers of this natural beauty. She made our 2008 list and has also appeared on similar lists for FHM (Top Sexiest Women in the World, 2008), Maxim (Hot 100 Lists, 2007) and Stuff (102 Sexiest Women in the World, 2002). If you’re going to pursue a date with Emmanuelle Chriqui, aka The World’s Most Desirable Woman of 2010, there are a few things to know — starting with how to pronounce her last name (it sounds like “shriek-y,” not “creaky”). Next is that she places more value on qualities like generosity, good-heartedness and sense of humor than looks. With Emmanuelle Chriqui’s wish list ruling out most of the Hollywood male food chain, her list of celebrity exes runs pretty short (Clifton Collins Jr., Jeremy Sisto and J.C. Chasez are the extent of it). Instead, she’s been known to date outside of the industry, with one of her longest relationships — seven years — having been with an architect.

Emmanuelle Chriqui has a ton of acting credits dating back to 1995, and she’s worked fairly solid ever since. Considering how difficult it is to make it in Hollywood, this speaks volumes about her work ethic and her persistence. However, if she were to walk away from acting right now, what would be her defining role? Most AskMen.com readers would have to say Sloan from Entourage.  Chriqui began acting as a 10-year-old in a McDonald’s commercial. She moved to Vancouver in the mid-1990s, guest-starring in series such as Are You Afraid of the Dark?, Forever Knight, Once a Thief and Psi Factor: Chronicles of the Paranormal. Her first Hollywood role was as a supporting character in Detroit Rock City (1999). Chriqui later appeared in several movies, such as 100 Girls, Wrong Turn, On the Line and In the Mix. She starred opposite Cameron Douglas in the movie National Lampoon’s Adam & Eve, playing the character of Eve and played Adam Sandler’s love interest in You Don’t Mess with the Zohan.Chriqui was nominated for a Best Actress DVD Exclusive Award for her performance in 100 Girls and was nominated, with Lance Bass, for a Choice Liplock Teen Choice Award in On the Line.

Recently, she won the Standout Performance Trophy at the Young Hollywood Awards.Chriqui also starred in Hinder’s “Lips of an Angel” music video as well as in the Zac Brown Band’s “Whatever It Is” music video. She threw out the ceremonial first pitch at a Los Angeles Dodgers game on June 8, 2008. Chriqui was on the cover of the Autumn 2008 issue of Naked Eye.
She acted in the film Cadillac Records (2008) as Revetta Chess, where she performed with Beyoncé Knowles. Chriqui was seen in 2009 as one of several women whose lives interconnect in the comedy Women in Trouble and appeared in its sequel Elektra Luxx, which was released in 2010.In 2010 Chriqui joined Showtime’s 2011 series, The Borgias. She is also the voice of Cheetara in the ThunderCats 2011 animated series.
