Heat is often considered to be one of the greatest action movies of all time. Director Michael Mann led Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, and Val Kilmer through an intense heist thriller, where a police officer’s obsession with catching the criminals tears his own life apart. Everything from the script, to the performances, to the shootouts (you can’t mention Heat without bringing up Val Kilmer’s iconic reload). Heat is also considered to be Michael Mann’s best movie. But his previous release, which starred none other than Daniel Day-Lewis, is just as action-packed and well-received, and it’s now streaming for free.
