The film is made in Ghana about a retired fisherman who ends up on a journey to Accra with a funny fish that speaks. It sounds kooky and definitely looks as fun as it sounds. This also toured to the Miami Film Festival and a few other US fests last year. Retirement can’t stop Atta Oko from chasing one last dream. When the aging Ghanaian fisherman sets out to earn enough for a boat of his own, a sarcastic talking fish and three eccentric young associates join him. Zoey Martinson’s magical-realist comedy turns wounded pride, generational clashes, and unlikely friendships into a warm search for purpose and independence.
