“He conquered his own biology!” Media Mike has debuted another trailer for an indie documentary film on cinema history called The Shark That Roared, a doc about Jaws: The Revenge (1987) that celebrates the film’s 40th anniversary and its achieved fandom since its release. We already posted an early teaser for it last year when the project was known as Jaws Goes to the Bahamas – Mike has since altered the title and re-shifted the focus on the 40th anniversary coming up in 2027 (when it’s expected to be done). Main interviews include Lance Guest, Mario Van Peebles, James “Murr” Murray, Kevin Smith, and others. It’s all about the infamous fourth Jaws movie called Jaws: The Revenge (released in 1987, directed by Joseph Sargent). They made four Jaws movies in total before the “franchise” came to an end. The doc will explore the tropical shoot in the Bahamas, behind-the-scenes experiences, & the surprising fanbase that has grown over the years. “It’s bold, bizarre, and strangely beloved… Fans deserve it.” Jaws: The Revenge is also the film Michael Caine famously said he did just for the paycheck to buy his mother a big house.
