Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodríguez are wedding goals. 

The couple—who began dating after meeting in Madrid in 2016—were married in in intimate ceremony in the soccer star’s home country Aug. 11. 

Ronaldo and Rodríguez announced their happy news in an Instagram post Aug. 11, confirming they had tied the knot in a civil ceremony the same day in Cascais, Portugal in a press release

The nuptials come nearly a year after Ronaldo and Rodríguez announced their engagement in August 2025. In a post confirming the news, the model flashed her massive ring as she placed her hand over the Portuguese footballer’s hand.

“Yes, I do,” the I Am Georgina star wrote on Instagram at the time, translated from Spanish. “In this and all my lives.”

Long before they tied the knot, the pair had already begun growing their family, which includes the athlete’s eldest son Cristiano Jr., 16, twins Eva Maria and Mateo, 8, as well as his and Rodríguez’s daughters Alana, 7, and Bella, 3. (Ronaldo and Rodríguez also announced the heartbreaking death of their baby boy Ángel in April 2022.)

And ahead of their nuptials, Ronaldo, 41, and Rodríguez, 32, were sure to prioritize family time, with the influencer sharing a glimpse at her eldest stepson jetskiing among her vacation highlights, writing on Aug. 1, “Junior and his talent in everything he sets out to do.” 

And the ex-Manchester United player has been open about how important his family is to him, especially as he prepares to retire from soccer in the coming years.

Although he admitted that quitting the sport would be difficult, Ronaldo told Piers Morgan last November, “I have other passions. I’m going to have more time for me. I’m going to have more time for my family, to raise my kids.”
