Watch: Chris Rock Crashes Daughter Zahra’s Interview With Sweet Confession About Working Together

Chris Rock’s daughter Zahra is all grown up—and following in her dad’s footsteps.

Just months after she made her acting debut in the 2026 comedy Roommates, the 22-year-old and the Grown Ups actor detailed working together on the upcoming film Misty Green.

“He was great. I was a little bit worried about it at first because he’s my dad,” Zahra exclusively told E! News at the world premiere of the A24 film, out Oct. 9, during the Toronto International Film Festival Sept. 12. “I didn’t know how it was gonna go, but it was a great set. I had an amazing time.”

It was then that Chris—who both wrote and directed the satirical drama—politely crashed his daughter’s interview, stepping in to sing her praises.

“It was amazing,” he shared of working with his daughter. “It was incredible.”

“I just saw an actress,” Chris emphasized, “and later on that day, she took off her mask and told me it was her.”
