CBS Brought Back NCIS's Oldest Character (Even Older Than McGee & Palmer)

NCIS season 23 surely has been leaning hard on its history, as it brought back a character who was introduced even before Timothy McGee and Jimmy Palmer. Leroy Jethro Gibbs’ original team no longer exists in the procedural, with all of its members now officially off of active duty. That leaves Sean Murray and Brian Dietzen’s characters as the longest-serving cast members still in the show. Both McGee and Palmer were introduced in NCIS season 1, episode 7, “Sub Rosa” and episode 21, “Split Decision,” respectively.
