Brooke Shields was born on May 31, 1965, in New York City and, at age 12, she starred in Pretty Baby (1978). It was followed by another blockbuster, the romance adventure drama The Blue Lagoon (1980). Brooke has proved herself to be so much more than her early films. Her broad range of work as an adult would be quite an achievement for anyone, especially given how difficult transitioning from child actor to adult often is.

Early Live:

She has never stopped working, whether it be a Bob Hope Christmas special, her own sitcom Suddenly Susan (1996), or as an author. She also managed to work on a degree from Princeton University. She has received a number of awards during her career, most notably The People’s Choice award for 1981 through 1984 in the category of Favorite Young Performer. In 1997, she was honored again with The People’s Choice award for Favorite Female Performer in a New Television Series 1997 for her work in Suddenly Susan (1996). In her personal life, she was married in 1997 to tennis player Andre Agassi and was devastated when they divorced two years later. She married for the second time in 2001 to Chris Henchy.

Brooke Shields appears in more than 78 Credits between movies and tv shows, Shields’ first major film role was as a lead actress in Louis Malle’s Pretty Baby (1978), a movie in which she played a child named Violet who lived in a brothel. This notable movie has been followed by many movies such as Wanda Nevada (1979), The Blue Lagoon (1980), Endless Love (1981), Backstreet Dreams (1990), The Seventh Floor (1994), The Misadventures of Margaret (1998), Our Italian Husband (2004), The Midnight Meat Train (2008), The Greening of Whitney Brown (2011) and finally My Boyfriend’s Meds (2020).

What Happened:
Brooke Shields gave her fans an update on her various health ordeals over the last couple of months after breaking her femur in January 2020. Shields has started the difficult journey of learning how to walk again via physical therapy. “For the first time in my entire life, I thought, ‘I can’t power through this,’” she said of the healing process. “I can’t even stand on my leg or go up a step. I need to relearn how to even walk. The feeling of helplessness is shocking.” She concluded, “This is my journey, and if it took me breaking the largest bone in my body, then recovery is something I want to share. We have to believe in ourselves and encourage one another. There’s no other way to get through life, period.” DO you think Brooke Shields says goodbye to Hollywood forever?.
