Barbara Bouchet born on 15 August 1943 is a German-American actress and entrepreneur who lives and works in Italy. She has acted in more than 80 films and television episodes and founded a production company that has produced fitness videos and books. She also owns and operates a fitness studio. She appeared in Casino Royale (1967) as Miss Moneypenny, in Don’t Torture a Duckling (1972) as Patrizia, in Sweet Charity (1969) as Ursula, in The Red Queen Kills Seven Times (1972) as Kitty Wildenbrück, in Caliber 9 (1972) as Nelly Bordon, in The Scarlet and The Black (1983) as Minna Kappler, and in Martin Scorsese’s Gangs of New York (2002) as Mrs. Schermerhorn.

10. Death Rage (1976) – Crime/Drama

The coolest man in black this side of Johnny Cash, Yul Brynner, played his last role in this Euro crime thriller under the direction of the prolific Antonio Margheriti. Oscar winner for The King and I, Mr. Brynner, is joined by fellow Academy Award winner Martin Balsam as a police inspector who is keeping a keen eye on Yul’s supposedly retired yet legendary mafia assassin touring Naples.

The youngsters Folcacchio and Guffardo must bring an embassy to the Bishop of Volterra, and during the trip, the two boys meet the beautiful Gemmata. The woman is a poor peasant who is married to Nicholas. Folcacchio and Guffardo, to have a night of love with the girl, pretends to be magicians who can turn humans into beasts.

8. Sex with a Smile II (1976) – Comedy

The 4 short stories in this Italian Sex-Comedy all revolve around marriage infinitely. A private eye and his inept assistant are hired by a jealous husband to spy on his wife. The detective ends up forgetting about his own horny bombshell at home and you can guess the rest. THE RINGER – A female soccer team’s best player goes down with a serious injury. The coach hires a male soccer star to pose as a woman to replace her. Shower scenes dominate this gender bender. THE TROJAN WARDROBE – A philandering producer and his wife (Barbara Bouchet) go on a boating trip. He comes up with an excuse to leave and returns home to his hot French mistress. He doesn’t know a robber has beaten him to it in more ways than one.

In the film, an age-old family curse hits sisters Kitty and Franziska following the death of their grandfather Tobias. Every hundred years, the legend goes, the bloodthirsty Red Queen returns and claims seven fresh victims. Was Tobias just the first… and are Kitty and Franziska next?

6. Black Belly of the Tarantula (1971) – Horror/Thriller

When nymphomaniac Maria Zani is murdered, her ex-husband and insurance broker Paolo Zani becomes the prime suspect of Inspector Tellini. Then the saleswoman Mirta Ricci is murdered in the same modus operandi – both victims had been paralyzed by acupuncture needles with poison introduced in their necks and their bellies had been ripped open with a knife with the victims still alive, in the same way, that tarantulas are killed by tarantula hawks. The police find that she was also a drug dealer, Paolo meets Inspector Tellini to tell him that he is innocent.

In the meantime, Celeste is organizing a surprise party for Savino’s birthday, and that day things start to get complicated. First Savino kills accidentally the mafia killer in charge to kill Celeste; second his lover Elvira arrives at the party with the judge… not to mention the police and the mafia also.

3. Caliber 9 (1972) – Crime/Poliziotteschi

Just out of prison, ex-con Ugo Piazza meets his former employer, a psychopathic gangster Rocco who enjoys sick violence and torture. Both the gangsters and the police believe Ugo has hidden $300,000 that should have gone to an American drug syndicate boss. Caliber 9 is the first part in Di Leo’s Milieu Trilogy of poliziotteschi films. It was followed by La mala ordina (The Italian Connection) in 1972 and Il Boss (The Boss) in 1973.

2. Don’t Torture a Duckling (1972) – Mystery/Thriller

In the backward village of Accendura, the boy Bruno Lo Casio goes missing, and the police inspector the local commissioner, and the village Captain Modesti investigate the case. When his father receives the request for a ransom, the police arrest the local Giuseppe and realize that he is innocent. Then the boys Michele and Tonino are also murdered and the police suspect the local witch Maciara, who practices black magic, might be the killer but they find she is also innocent.
