It’s going to be a big year for Tom Hanks fans. The actor is finally getting to work on the long-awaited sequel to his blockbuster Apple TV World War II movie Greyhound, and is set to deliver a surprise documentary series titled World War II with Tom Hanks. Hanks’ fascination with that period in history is well-known, and over the years, he has delivered some of the most iconic films and shows set in the World War II era. His crowning achievement in the genre is Saving Private Ryan, of course. Directed by Steven Spielberg, the movie grossed nearly $500 million worldwide and scored a bunch of Oscars. However, Hanks’ next film with Spielberg emerged as a classic in its own right. The movie in question was released four years after Saving Private Ryan, and is currently streaming on Netflix in the United Kingdom and other territories. But not for much longer.
