Celebrities say the darndest things sometimes. Because they are so famous, their drunk behavior is shared with the public and what comes out of their mouth when they’ve had one too many can actually be funny. But other times, they throw temper tantrums or make the terrible decision to get behind the wheel and their antics then become sad and dangerous.
10. Justin Bieber – Canadian singer
The singer was pulled over after an officer observed him and another vehicle drag racing down a street in Miami. The Biebs yelled and cursed at the officer who stopped him multiple times. He was ultimately taken into custody for DUI and resisting arrest. At the jail, his bad behavior continued when he decided to urinate on the jailhouse floor.
9. Jessica Simpson – American singer
Speaking of divas on HSN, Jessica Simpson’s appearance in 2015 had social media buzzing as people questioned how many glasses of wine she had before walking out on set. The singer-turned-designer was slurring her words and awkwardly laughing while attempting to sell her products on the show. Following her appearance on the network, sources close to Simpson said she was not drunk and only struggled for a few moments to fill some of the airtime since she was on for two hours without any type of script.
8. Mariah Carey – American singer
In 2011, Mariah Carey was promoting her products on the Home Shopping Network but seemed a bit off as she rambled on and on during the entire segment. Some of what she was saying made no sense at all and at one point, in true diva fashion, she decided to just call the shots herself and dictated where the camera should focus while she was on the air.
7. Shia LaBeouf – American actor
In 2017, just a few months after he was seen on video accusing a bartender of being “racist,” Shia LaBeouf went on a racist rant of his own after his arrest in Savannah, Georgia. Bodycam footage showed the actor yelling at the police officers on the scene.
6. Nicole ‘Snooki’ Polizzi – American-Chilean television personality
We could really pick just about any footage from MTV’s Jersey Shore since the cast gave us so many outrageous antics and bad behavior when they were drunk, but Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi’s “Where’s the beach?” incident is one of the most memorable.
5. David Hasselhoff – American actor
Who could forget David Hasselhoff’s infamous hamburger video filmed by his daughter, Taylor Ann, in 2007? The video was pretty disturbing as it showed the actor clumsily lying around in a drunken state.
4. Paula Abdul – Singer-songwriter
In 2011, American Idol judge Paula Abdul did a live interview with a local Fox station in Seattle and it appeared that she was under the influence of something. Her answers and body language made no sense and the anchors were so confused by her behavior that they thought there may have been some kind of technical problem.
3. Tiger Woods – American professional golfer
On Memorial Day 2017, golf superstar Tiger Woods found himself on the wrong side of the law when he was arrested on suspicion of DUI. Woods was found by police in no condition to drive as he was asleep behind the wheel. The video footage shows just how disoriented he was. When one of the officers asked Woods where he was coming from that night, the golfer told him Los Angeles but they were actually in Jupiter, Florida.
2. Reese Witherspoon – American actress
In 2013, everyone was shocked to learn that Hollywood’s good girl, Reese Witherspoon, was arrested for disorderly conduct, and when the tape of the incident was released people couldn’t believe she pulled the do-you-know-who-I-am card.
1. Randy Travis – American singer-songwriter
Musician Randy Travis was arrested for driving under the influence in 2012, but dashcam video of how he acted the night he was taken into custody wasn’t released until November 2017, much to the dismay of Travis and his lawyers. The video showed the country singer without his clothes on, yes completely naked, and being verbally abusive to the arresting officer after he crashed his Trans Am.
